New Year's Eve Prep.

As we all know tonight is the last night of 2012! And what a year it has been!
I feel like I have done so much, made new friends and have made some brilliant memories XD
I am a little cautious about next year, I'm not super duperly a big believer in superstition but there's just something about 2013 that makes me a little uneasy, regardless I will try to remain positive!

I'm also a New Year's Resolution person too, but for me it's not just ONE big resolution I have to achieve throughout the year, it's more like 10! I should probably call them New Year Goals shouldn't I?! :p
I've been ransacking my cupboards to find my old diary from last New Year and I am pleased to say I found it and a lot of the goals I set for myself I did achieve apart from one but it is not something I am really interested in any more, so all in all a big success! XD

I have a vague idea of what my New Year Resolutions/Goals are going to be, things along the lines of: "Pass second year of university", "keep up blogging","continue to save money" and "be more positive" etc etc.

I decided for tonight to go all out and do a post on how I prepared myself before going out tonight :p
So here you go :)

I begin pampering myself with my favourite Palmolive body lotion XD It feels so soft on my skin and it smells delicious! I usually go for Honey (shown above) or Coconut but I've also tried Olive and Almond to change things up once in a while and they are all really good, I highly recommend this product! :)

Next of course, I go for washing my brunette locks with Treseme 24 hour body shampoo. I use this to give my hair a bit of oomph and volume, I like my hair to look messy and untamed, not super straight. I'm really not a big user of Conditioner as a lot of the time it makes my hair look flat which is not a good look on me in my opinion!

Whilst leaving my hair to dry a little naturally, I then decided to use my favourite moisturiser :)
Normally I'd only use a little bit on my cheeks as the winter can make them feel a little dry, but today I thought I'd go all out and smother my face in it! XD
I came about this moisturiser due to a little sample bottle that was given with a magazine I had bought and I thought I would try it out and when I did I was very impressed with the result!
I've tried a few moisturisers in the past and I would definitely recommend this one as the best!
Although I had put loads on, it soaked in pretty quickly and honestly my skin felt incredibly smooth! I was even trying to get my Mam to stroke my face to feel the softness Bahahaha! XD

As you can see from the photo above, it gives a lovely dewy glow to the skin before it soaks in completely :)

My brunette locks after a good hair blow dry :) My hair looks a lot darker here than I thought! It still amazes me how long my hair actually is now! With it being layered it always looks a lot shorter at the front :)

Next on the agenda is the smelly stuff XD I decided to go for my new DKNY Be Delicious Paris perfume that I got for Christmas, it smells lovely. Out of the 3 DKNY perfumes I have, I prefer the original Be Delicious one the most (green bottle), then followed by Golden Delicious (gold bottle) but I still like to try out new ones to change things up a little :)

Then the make up. I apologise at the state of my make up contents, I have seen many a blogger who post lovely photography of all this brand new super shiny shiny foundations and powders and expensive brushes etc but that's not for me to be honest. I don't think I could leave the house without my concealer (not shown) closely followed by my eyelash curlers. I like to keep my make up pretty natural looking with maybe a bright lipstick (that orange oompa loompa look is vile and whoever thought that was a good look needs to be shot!). I only ever wear false eyelashes on a night out to give that extra oomph to my eyes :) But I don't really need to wear falsies all that much as my eyelashes are pretty long naturally anyway XD

My gorgeous sparkly sequinned dress for tonight XD I haven't worn this since last New Year's Eve! I do absolutely love it but it's sort of hard to find an occasion to wear it so much without it looking too over the top. I think I have set myself a little tradition now to wear it every New Year's Eve ;)

Phew! Finally the end result for you all! I'm exhausted now ;)
I'm off to celebrate the end of a fantastic year at Lucianos with my boyfriend, his mam and his little sister now. Food and Champagne at the ready guys! Bring on 2013! XD
