Curly Wurly Girly

When I was younger I liked to spend Friday nights after school pretty chilled out at home either having a sleepover with friends or have some time to myself where I watch some chickflicks and dug out my little make up trunk in my cupboard and just had a little fun experimenting with different hairstyles, lipsticks, eyeshadows and learning how to apply eyeliner, little things like that basically. Tonight I decided to bring that back with the hairstyles.
I was lurking the internet like I do most nights and came across a random website where it said something about curling the ends of your hair. Normally when I curl my hair I go the full whack and thought this idea would be worth having a go to see the outcome of it.
P.S. For any of my readers who used to watch Saved By The Bell on TV back in the day, I hope you appreciate my Bayside Tiger jumper ;) It's so comfortable to lounge around the house in.

I began by wrapping about 5cm worth of hair from the ends around the tongs and held it there for a few minutes, then I usually lightly touch the hair that is wrapped in the tongs to see if it feels warm. When it goes warm I then use a touch of hairspray on the end and hold it again for a few minutes before finally unravelling the hair completely leaving a little curl in place. Then repeat this until all the hair is done.

With having layered and feathered hair I also curled the short layers on the top of my head as well as the longer length of hair. The idea of it isn't so that my hair is mega curly but just a little bit of extra bounce to it. I tend to have my hair all messed up and wavy anyway so this just gives more emphasis to it.
I will admit this was a little time consuming so if you were planning on giving it a try for a night out or something along those lines definitely plan your time wisely.

This was the final result. I must admit I was quite a fan of this style and I am currently thinking of giving it a go for tomorrow night when I am out celebrating my friend Kate's 21st birthday :)

Anyway I am off to watch the rest of The Hot Chick as I had it playing when I was styling my hair :p
Enjoy your weekend lovelies!
