Double Denim

Hello everyone :)

I've had such a brilliant weekend! Had a fab night out for Kate's 21st and met some very cool new people and generally had a fun night :)

My recent purchase of Baroque trousers had been having my life for the rest of the week after I bought them as I was keen to wear them on Saturday night but struggled very hard to find a top to go with it but eventually I found one that I was happy with.

Also this weekend one of my best friends from school, also called Kate! Turned 21 on Saturday, so I had paid her a visit on Sunday and had a great day seeing her and her family. She told me some very exciting news which put a smile on my face so I'm looking forward to that :)

Anyway yesterday I had spent the evening craving a Subway sandwich (fun fact: I love Subway sandwiches) and since I don't go back to University until tomorrow I had some time to kill so I decided to venture into town (I live about 10 mins away) and visit my friend who had gone back today and have lunch with him.
This is what I wore for my little lunch, I read about the double denim look in magazines ages ago and it always seems to be a hard outfit to pull off but I remember reading in Company a while back to add light denim to the top and a darker denim on the bottom. This is one of my favourite casual outfits that I wear now and again when I'm not wearing my pretty dresses.

Normally I don't usually wear rings that much as I'm more of an earrings/ the occasional necklace wearer but I decided to sport this little feather ring that I got from Topshop which I think looks good with my nails :D

The best thing about this outfit is that I can wear these boots! XD They are so jazzy and unusual which is why they appealed to me in the first place. I got them off the Topshop website about 3 years ago and think they are amazing! I feel it sort of adds a little something extra to the casual essence of the rest of the outfit.
