I realised I have spent a lot of my time on my blog lately posting outfits and realised the original versatility of my blog has suddenly become very repetitive, so to get myself back on track I decided to include one of my reviews in today's post :)
After seeing a few very intense and violent films this week, my boyfriend and I decided to see this film as it was on our watch list and also to go and see something more light hearted :)
Today I have been to see Wreck It Ralph at the cinema and I must admit it was AWESOME!
As a little lady who has a love of games and animation, it catered very well to my taste.
The story is about Ralph (voiced by John C. Reilly from Step Brothers) who is a bad guy in the arcade game "Fix-It Felix", who is at a support group called "Bad Guy Anon" explaining how he is tired of being the bad guy and wants to be a good guy now. After seeing the guys from Fix-It Felix having a party to celebrate the game's 30th anniversary without inviting him along, he gatecrashes it and is challenged to win a medal (Felix wins medals all the time for being the good guy) and if he does, he is allowed to be included in future to the Penthouse which they all live in without Ralph.
So Ralph sets out to win a medal by 'game jumping' to another game during the day which is not allowed and causes a lot of chaos and loose ends to be tied up by other characters and himself.
There is a lot of games characters who make cameos, for those of you who may have seen, I can tell you now that Sonic does not play a role at all in the film, he's like in the background in one scene. But there's characters like Bowser from Mario, Street fighters, Ghost from Pacman and quite a few others but I think the likes of my parents will have more of an idea who some of them are.
Also for those of you who are a fan of Toy Story, how the toys come to life when there's no people around, this film has that similar element to it, as when the arcade closes at night, the characters are allowed to leave their games and venture to other games. I really enjoyed this concept of the film, as it showed how life was portrayed inside the games to the characters and then would show how it appeared to life outside to us which was so clever!
There is also a brilliant twist towards the end of the film which we didn't click on to, it really catches you out and it is like I've already said: Brilliant XD
Overall I would definitely recommend this film to all of you, the characters are funny and loveable, the film is so cleverly put together and vibrant and it is definitely catered for all ages :)
The Main Characters are:
*Wreck-It Ralph (John C. Reilly from Step Brothers)
*Fix-It Felix (Jack McBrayer from Forgetting Sarah Marshall)
*Sgt. Tamora (Jane Lynch from Glee and Role Models)
*Vanellope von Schweetz (Sarah Silverman from School of Rock)
Also before the film starts there is a Disney Short film called 'Paperman' which is a silent animation, it is by far one of the cutest things I've ever seen! Watch here :) Enjoy!
